Hi abby, welcome to the support group. By your message (having completed the second session) I see you already know about several of the various features this site offers. Some general tips are provided below, but I am sure you will hear from others in this group who share your concerns and may be able to offer assistance. While you are away is there is any possiblity of you having some private time to access this site? It would allow you an opportunity to share your fears or concerns and let us know how things are going and hopefully provide you with some extra support to help you enjoy your trip. Have you tried relaxation techniques? What about breathing techniques? For tonight, prepare by reducing your anxiety level as much as you can. Try a hot bath, some soothing music or a warm beverage? Tomorrow do sign up for the Panic Diary where you can record your daily level of anxiety. You can also find how helpful it is to use breathing techniques to help you deal with your panic and anxiety. The Panic Program can help you understand more and may help you go about challenging your thoughts. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Please keep us posted. Casey, Thanks so much for your meaningful follow-up. I just finished the second lesson for the Panic Program and am encouraged by your words about the program. I am afraid, I'm afraid of doing but I'm trying to observe those thoughts and keep with it. Thanks again.

Hey, This is my first time using the support group. I just finished my second session tonight. I've had panic attacks for a little over a year now and it's one of the most miserable things I've ever experienced. I was seeing a therapist for a while and seemed to be completely better but then I started getting nervous about my college graduation, weeks before it happened, and then I started panicing about everything. Things only seem to be getting worse. I'm supposed to go to Florida with some friends next month but I want so badly to back out because I don't know if I can handle it. They don't know I have panic attacks so it's not the most comfortable situation. Sometimes I feel confident but I usually end up convincing myself that as soon as I'm off in florida, without any of my support group, things will fall apart for me and I'll be stuck there with horrible experiences and no one to talk with about them. Please give me any suggestions you have for dealing with this. I can't seem to control my thoughts any more. I feel so scared all the time.

Hi esperanza, just following up with reagarding some information about this site. We receive letters from people who tell us they tried talk therapy and it didnt work, so they dont want to do the Panic Program. They think that the Panic Program is talk therapy. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are different types of therapy out there. Some therapies involve talking about the past in an attempt to understand the problem and develop some strategies for coping, etc. The Panic Program is not talk therapy. Its not about medications either. Its a treatment program thats all about getting you actively involved in your own improvement. How great is that? It teaches you things you may not understand about panic and agoraphobia, your own panic, your own panic cycle, and as you learn and get involved, you begin the journey and the process of taking back control from a fear that at the moment is controlling you. Doesnt that idea of getting back control sound wonderful? So its not about talking. Its about doing. And in doing, its about recovery. But maybe this idea of doing scares you and you avoid it for that reason. Ive had emails from people who say this too. Well its not about someone telling you to smarten up or just get with it at all. Its a guide, a silent teacher, and a whole program. Its like going to a school that offers a course in your very own fears and how to beat your very own fears down. How would you feel on graduation day if you could do just that? It works this way: The Program guides you through the process of getting back this control. It prepares you for this, one single step at a time, and gives you some homework to bring you along from session 1 to session 2, and onward, in a series of 12 sessions over a period of twelve weeks. Many people want help for their panic and cant afford therapy. The Panic Program is offered free of charge to you. Dont pass up this opportunity. Hope to hear from you soon, Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Welcome esperanza, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Hello everyone. I've been dealing with anxiety and depression pretty much all of my life but have been undergoing treatment off and on for about 10 years. I'm terribly frustrated with the process because I feel that, although I've improved, my progress is slow or non existant. I'm trying the panic center just in case it helps ;). I've been looking for some type of cognitive behavioral therapy but the psychologists that I've seen seem to be resistant/uneducated about it. They believe in "talk" therapy... but there's a point when I've talked about it all and I'm still not entirely better... I don't know I guess I just needed to vent... I wonder if anyone else has felt this way?Text
