Chicknoodle,
You're so brave, and honest... and I'll be here for you too:)
I started with Chantix and smoked that first week while I did my logging homework. Remember that nauseous feeling after the first week? Well, the night before I quit, I smoked my last ones close together and felt that kind of nausea. I wrote myself a note so I wouldn't forget. The Chantix reminds me of that, and my logs help too...
Love, mk

So glad you are coming back. It is not easy to have to reset, but is a lot harder to be a smoker. You (WE) can do this. stickin to it gave you a good list to print off and read and reread.

Chicknoodle,
You are very smart and insightful and you have it in you to make it last next time. And I agree with Stickin, the healing that took place the last 8 months will always be with you so you can't toss those benefits. Wish I could help you the way you've helped me and others but I am still inexperienced next to you. Just know I have great faith in you :)

Hello Chicknoodle
It is an easy thing to do and I am sorry that it happened. Some thoughts that helped me:
If I have one now, I will have another and then another and then another.
I just need to get through this moment apply distractions
And the next moment - I just need to get through this moment apply distractions
Smoking is not an option the trick - there is no such thing as a cigarette
Just how is smoking one right now going to help me 10 minutes from now walk away
I put so much effort into this and I am going to keep going with it
Try cutting back one of two per day before your quit day practice
Identify those triggers you have obviously had done this before and had it so very well
When we quit smoking, shut the door tightly on the thoughts
Smoking makes me feel good - is just an illusion
Recite often the reasons why you have quit
Lastly, understand the reasons for the slip and get on with it. You have shown yourself well, for the last 8 months that you have what it takes to quit and by the way you have provided your body 8 full months of being smoke free; a lot of healing time in that.
I can tell you Debbie that there is an end to the want, just give it a little more time.
Stickin To It
