Agreed, agreed. Smoking and not smoking are both conscious decisions, and for those of us who are trying to quit, understanding the nicotine addiction is crucial to being better able to ward off cravings and make the mental adjustments needed to protect our quit.
One slip is not the end of the world - but smoking does not make things better - only worse. No matter what you are experiencing, smoking is not going to make your stress lower, or give you the energy to fight off whatever you need to fight off - only your own strength can do that.
I do not mean to be preachy but that is how I feel. Seeing others around me who have suffered because of smoking can also make you understand why ex smokers find smoking to be such a pariah.
