Need my March Mellow Family!

So sorry Bobbi! Why does trouble always come knocking in threes! Anyway, take some deep breaths, and remember what some of your coping strategies are, use them! Its not up to us, to judge if the patch was a good idea, that's your choice. Keep your chin up. Deal with the troubles and then you can deal with the patch later on. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 105 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,625 Amount Saved: $1,107.75 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 20 Mins: 31 Seconds: 32

Bobbi, Better to put a patch on than to smoke a cigarette. I can feel the knot you must have in your stomach but smoking won't take that away. It is only normal to hurt when your kids hurt that is something that just is part of being a mother. Stay close and let us know when you need hugs and support we will be there. Hello my almost twin. Sorry to hear that you've been so stressed. I don't know about patches but I can understand why you maybe felt disappointed about putting nicotine back into your system. I think you have to do what helps you cope best without actually SMOKING and you've done that. So well done. I envy you your walking. I've had both feet operated on so can only manage to hobble to the kitchen and back with the occasional trip upstairs as a big treat! Hope you are feeling better today. Bobbi, just remember smoking is not an option anymore, look forward and not back. Look through the work book again, exrecise, etc.... Stay strong Bobbi, be proud of those stats and keep them going. Bobbi I'm sorry to hear about all the troubles. Even when they're grown, we still worry and wish we could make it all okay for them. One thing you can do though, is take care of the little one. It's nice for the parents that you are close enough to help in these situations. I'm glad you didn't smoke. There would still be all the challenges, just you would feel bad about smoking too. Remember to use the coping strategies you did in the beginning....and reward yourself in some way!!!! Stop at a fruit stand on the way home? Go dangle your feet in the water somewhere? Catch a movie? Treat yourself as lovingly as you do everyone else. You deserve it. {{hugs}} -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 88 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,520 Amount Saved: $598.40 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 6 Mins: 26 Seconds: 47

Bobbi, I'm so sorry to hear about all the troubles in your family. Here's some (((huggs))) and TLC until everyone else can be here to offer their love and support. You've done what's right for you to protect your quit during a difficult time. You can stop using the patches soon and kudos to you for not smoking. Hang in there, things will work themselves out and you can be proud for staying smoke free. Bobbi, Don't apologize for boo hooing! Stress certainly makes life as a non-smoker very difficult! You just boo hoo all you want, just don't smoke! It won't make your situation any less stressful. Some might say that using the patch is a bad idea. I don't think it is a great idea, but I'd rather see you use a patch rather than smoke. Bobbi, use those coping mechanisms that you used during the early part of you quit and just keep holding on tight. Come here and let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Big Hugs to you, Boxerfan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,458 Amount Saved: $405.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 7 Mins: 30 Seconds: 20

Just needing alittle TLC, Last Thursday my oldest daughter, who lives in the State of WA, husband and 2 grown children and two little ones called me and she had just found out her husband was having an afffair, he is in the Navy. they have been married for 7 years. I, all of us are just devastated, and here I am living in Indiana so far away and at this time all of the help I can give her is over the phone, also as some of you know I have the ill parents , 3 hrs. away which is still a large worry for me, then my youngest daughter called today and her baby 1 yr. is running a fever, not feeling well so I will go to take care of her tomorrow, both parent's work and where they work sooo hard to miss work, which I sure do not mind to help, but the main thing is I am really stressing, don't want to smoke and won't but sure having a hard time, so bad that I did put a 7 mg. patch on today, sure didn't want to but felt I need a rest from all the upheavel, patch did help. sure didn't want to put ole nic back in my body but I guess it was still better then smoking, please tell me right! Boy do I need all of you right now! and I have been doing sooooo great! Can't even tell you how many miles I have walked since all this has been going on, I walk alot anyway but boy have I been like a blue streak, lol sorry for boo hooing but as I said could sure use alittle TLC. Thanks to all, hugs and prayers, Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 82 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,460 Amount Saved: $205.00 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 3 Mins: 19 Seconds: 23
