Cat, This is for the new members: You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. Therefore, a better assessment of the situation can be made. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any question or concerns with our €œTOOLS€, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Josie

Hello Latasha, I am new here too..I don't know if I've come to the right place, but hopefully I have. A few hours ago I called the doctor for the very first time so that I can go there and get a prescription for Paxil. I've read up on it and it seems that it's the right one for me...If anyone wants to respond to this please do, that's why I'm writing for responses on other's thoughts..anyway when I was about 10 years old I began with the counting, everything had to be done 3 times. If I dropped a fork once, I had to pick it up and do it twice more, to make it 3. That is my earliest memory of OCD for me. Then it went away for a while besides checking the stove/iron etc...but nothing too crazy that I couldn't handle..until I had my son at 19. After that I began with the anxiety and depression, then with the OCD again...The OCD is the one thing that I can't handle because it bothers the people close to me. My husband doesn't know what's wrong with me yet, I guess until my doctors appointment, but he just thinks I'm a big nag...all I do is ask him questions and then ask them again for reassurance...especially things about the past which I normally don't care about, but all the sudden I do, and even though I know it will cause an argument if I ask the question, I still have to ask it or else it will not go away in my mind unti it is answered. Then once the question is answered either Ill ask it again or I'll ask a similar question which stemed off the first question. The longer that I keep the question in my mind without asking, the more questions build up around it and the more reassurance I need in the end. So it's easier to just ask the one question so that I can somehow put it out of my mind...does this make any sense??? I know it doesn't but does it sound familiar to anyone?? The other things that I have are anxiety and depression but those are not as bad and are tolerable for now. I've learned how to deal with them on my own thank god. If anyone has any comments on this please help..thanks!

Its quite normal to take clonazepam with an anti-depressant, though generally the idea is that you only use the clonazepam infrequently when desperately needed - maybe once or twice a week at the most, as the anti-depressant is meant to make you feel better. Drugs like zoloft and lexapro take time to become effective, around 4 -6 weeks to be fully effective, so its normal to use a benzo like clonazapam to keep you calm while you wait for the anti-depressant to kick in. Long term you dont want to be dependent on the clonazepam though. Are you actually taking both zoloft and lexapro together? Thats a little unusual. Normally its one or the other. They do very similar things. Is he trying to change you from one to the other? 50mg zoloft is not an unusual amount, but I am surprised you are on both zoloft and lexapro. You do not have to explain to your dr why you want to change to another dr. Their policy is not legally binding to you. I strongly suggest that if you dont find this dr is helping you, change to another dr. Maybe a female dr in your case would be better?

I was wanting to know does anyone take. Zoloft,Lexapro and clonazpam together. How does it effect you. I feel like i am taking to much. Maybe not. I am on 50mg of Zoloft. I have had more attachs with that combo. I am going to see the doctor tommorow. I do not like him but because of there policy they said I have to explain to him why I want to change. He works monday thu Thursday. Its a one hour drive. My husband is off on fridays only. My mom is driving 4hrs to take me tommorow. Last time i was in the doctors office i told him i had a hard time getting rides. He said what do you want me to do about it mam. I just felt like he was judging me. I guess we had troble comunicating. I don,t know. Does any one comments or ideas.Text
