I'm on day 2 of Chantix now .. I don't really notice that much difference. I imagine once I start the twice a day I will. Good luck Rich. I am on day 8, first day to stop...so far so good. Urges come but are very fleeting, not overwhelming. Later

Welcome Rich, Never tried Chantix, but sounds like it may be working for you. Good luck and stay smoke free. Hi Rich, Also a chantix user, and while the term "miracle drug" comes to mind, it also took my commitment to quit. Congrats to you and your wife for going through this together. Be patient with each other, and remember that everyone's quit is different, and very personal. Your bad and good days may not coincide, and realizing it may help at those times when what you really want to do is scream and each other and throw things (we find throwing virtual dishes to be very helpful). Good luck, and stick around and bring your wife. We'd love to help both of you. Hey Rich! Fellow Chantix user. It's been great. It helped to curb the physical / chemical cravings so I could focus my attention on the psychological stuff and patterns and all of the other reasons that I smoked. I hope it works for you! Hi Rich and welcome back. I am a Chantix user and it has been very helpful. You still have to want to quit and need to be prepared to deal with the challenges but I think you will find the Chantix really helps. With you and your wife both quitting it should also be a big help. Let us know how it is going. My time on this sight has played as big a part in my quit as the Chantix. Hiya, I was a member of this board a couple of years (or more) ago. I have had many failed quits. Although I cant blame anyone else for my failurers my wife smokes too, so if there is cigs in the house sooner or later I will break down. This time we are BOTH trying Chantix. I have ton tons of reading and I have faith that this will work. I took my first .05 dose last night and I can already tell that my morning cigg didnt do its normal job. Good luck everyone.
