Cuddles, We will always be here! Take some time to focus and take you time. Check out our sister site at www.depressioncenter.net, there is a test that you can take and discuss with your doctor. This may help better assess the situation. You have received a lot of great support, take what you need and keep it close. We are ready when you are :) Josie, Support Specialist

Cuddles, I don't think you are wasting anyone's time or bothering anyone, but like your two friends - we just don't know what to do. We can encourage you in the quit and offer what has helped us to not smoke but I don't think many of us are qualified to help with depression. Are there any counselors that you can work with in your area? Or have you checked out the Depression Center website? Wishing you all the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1029 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,580 Amount Saved: $4,630.50 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 13 Mins: 42 Seconds: 37

Cuddles, You can fail as many times as you like. You only have to succeed once. And you can do it! Believe in yourself for one minute at a time. You are worth it. You can succeed. I believe in you. Cuddles, You are not bothering anyone. Have you smoked yet? If not, maybe you need to re-evaluate your decision. This quitting journey is complicated, hard, and tiring; but you know in your heart of hearts that it is soooo worth it. Can you do ONE day at a time? Yet having the hope that one day you will be a totally comfortable ex-smoker. There are those here who have "arrived". You can do it also. The time is going to pass whether you smoke or not. My best to you. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $25.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 12 Seconds: 6

Cuddles, Let's take a trip to the past. You first started this journey right around the time of my very last slip. I had reset my meter, so you were a couple weeks ahead of me in the quit. Together, we formed the "Ex-Smoker Jokers" and we had a "cruise ship" of our own (before the 50 day cruise ship was invented). You were the one who kept track of everybody's anniversaries and big days. You brough so much energy to the group and had so much desire to quit! You were always the bright shining light that I looked to when I was down. You always had a positive outlook on things! Where is she? Go find her and then come back with that same enthusiasm that you had back then! When you fell at 90 days, nobody could have been more shocked than I was! But I KNEW that one day, you would quit for good! You WOULD beat this! Because you have what it takes to quit and stay quit... I know because I've seen it! But I haven't seen that desire, that positive attitude, that energy in quite some time. For a long time, it's been a chore; it's been a burden. I want to see you get back to a place where the quit is for YOU! It's something that you want. You're not there right now, and that's OK. But please don't give up forever. Take some time.... perhaps 6 months, or whatever you think it will take. But do come back. I want to see the OLD Cuddles again! Crave the Quit! Hi Cuddles, Never feel guilty. Thats what the forums are for. If it is any help I have been in the same situation as you - many many times. Maybe take a longer break in between quits? I am so tired of trying. Every time I fail I just feel worse. Dont think I will be back. Just cant keep it together and dont want to waste any more of your time. I keep trying to keep this depression in check. Its just not working. I dont want any more meds, I am on enough as it is. It works for a while and then it quits working. So whats the difference. Hubby says you havent been having any trouble, He believes its just part of me going through menopause. My 2 friends just listen and say they dont know what to do. I feel like I am inposing on everyone. Well I am done bothering people. It just dont help. I feel quilty for bothering people. Thanks for your support.
