Hey Everyone, I am back from my weekend in New York and it was fun and smoke free! It was a nice break from Mass. Thanks everyone for the kind replies. I only thought of a cig a couple of times and that was because I saw other peeps smoking. On Sun. I barely thought of it at all! And it was great, I could walk longer without getting short of breath and my lungs didn't hurt. Plus I didn't have to stand outside restaurants and smoke! It was a great feeling. I am happy to be on this journey with all of you!~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 55 Amount Saved: $58.30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 19 Mins: 57 Seconds: 24

Hi Valic, Are your days getting better? Just remember that smoking will not make anything better. It will just relieve the urge for a "fix" that the cig caused in the first place. It is such an addictive drug. Anyway, check in and let us know how you are doing. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 192 Amount Saved: $40.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 4 Mins: 1 Seconds: 16

Valic, I also had a bad day yesterday, but today I'm on top of the world! Stay strong and give that nasty critter on your shoulder a good whack. Try a heat pack on your neck, the warmth will help the pain & also will relax those frazzled nerves. Chin up! :) ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 580 Amount Saved: $333.50 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 50 Seconds: 31

Thanks everyone, only 1 more hr to go and then I can go home say good bye to this awful day and these awful cravings that have been with me all day! Maybe I will take a nice relaxing bath and I will go to bed early tonight. Hopefully my back gets better soon, I can barely move my neck. But I am very proud of myself I did NOT smoke. I battled the demon and I won! Well my dear, on the bright side you have the better part of a WEEK under your belt. That is AWESOME. So, what good stuff is your body going through? Do you have more energy? Is your smell and taste coming back? Try to remind yourself of the good that will eventually come from these bad days. Maybe a walk or some exercise to get out some of that frustration? Today will end and you'll still be a non-smoker, smelling like roses (or at least not like cigarettes). All the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1028 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,560 Amount Saved: $4,626.00 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 11 Mins: 53 Seconds: 51
