New Symptom (for the guys)

Thanks for your reply, Sky. Actually, the surgery I had was having a tooth extracted. The root of the tooth was in my sinus cavity, so it had to be stitched closed after the tooth was removed. It also was that surgery that started my latest bout with PAs. Oh well, life goes on. Thanks again! ;)

Hi Lester, I'm a girl but I'm gonna post anyway! ;p Hope you don’t mind me asking, the minor surgery you had, was it a vasectomy? Because a couple of weeks after my partner got a vasectomy he experienced the same symptoms you've described. Didn't last long, doc said it was probably the stress of the procedure. So, I dunno, maybe theres a link in there somewhere. Also my brother has had something similar. This was years and years ago when he was about 10 so I can’t really remember what it was he had. But about twice a year he’d get a sore penis and have to take these pills for it. This went on and on for ages until my mum made the hard decision to get him circumcised. The doctors said this would most likely solve the problem, and it did. He’s not had any trouble since. However I highly doubt this was the same thing you’re talking about! Back then my brother was a little rascal who didn’t like washing up. That’s what caused his problem and that’s why the circumcision worked (my dad and I thought this amusing lol). Anyway yeh, can’t say I know how it feels but I’ve had experience with this or something similar through my partner. He’s never been worried about it, but then nothing worries him! Take care :)

Hey everyone , I've got a new (recourring) symptom that I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced. BTW, this is rather graphic, so if you are offended, I'm sorry. About 7 months ago, after anesthesia for minor surgery, the next day I developed a "burning/itching" sensation at the tip of my penis. I had no other symptoms (ie, dicharge, etc.) A couple days later I went to the ER, they did a urine test (all OK) and sent me home. Went to my Doc later in the week, he did another urine test, (all OK) and tested for STDs (all negative). So, he referred me to an Urologist. Got there, had a 3rd urine test (all OK) and described my symptoms, which, now along with the burning/itching, I was also experiencing pelvic "cramps". He said he was 99.9% sure that I was experiencing stess induced prostatitist(sp?). In fact, to quote him, "You're a text-book case". I felt he was very compasionate about my GAD/PAs and he said at this point in time there was no need to do some rather most "uncomfortable tests", and gave me a prescription for Flomax. That seemed to help, and after a couple months, I stopped taking the Flomax and things have been pretty good "down there". That was until last week when my oil tank for my furnace let go. So I had to rush and replace it (between work and the boys' baseball practice) which was quite a lot of stess on me! Now , the symptoms have returned! I started taking the Flomax again Monday, and I got an appointment with the Urologist June 1st. I HOPE things will be better by then! But as I stated earlier, I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced or heard of this condition?? Any thoughts are GREATLY appreciated, and if you've read this far, Thank You for taking the time to read this post! ;p
