how long do they last?

When I first started with the panic and anxiety thing, I felt like they lasted all day also. There are still days that are "bad", but I keep telling myself "Just setle down and this thing will pass" and ususally it does. If you can convince yourslf that it will woon be over, it seems like it is. But if you keep thinking this is goind to last forever, it's an all day affair. I know it sounds hard, and that's because it is, but you got to fight this thing as hard as it fights you. Hope you are feeling better. Little things sometimes break a bad day. I got up this morning and go dressed and put earrings on for the first time in months and silly as it soulds, it gave me a lift. Callie

Hi Outlaw, yeh, technically a panic attack will last between an hour or half an hour. However in your case I think it's safe to assume you're suffering heaps of panic attacks one after the other. I've been there, I know how horrible it is, you feel like it's never going to stop! I really feel for you Outlaw. I hope this eases your anxiety a little. Just so you know, I've been bed ridden for a couple of weeks at a time thinking I was dying of all the things under the sun. It was horrible, but I hope you can take comfort in knowing other people have been there, and survived! :) I really don't know how I got out of that cycle. I think you have to unlearn the panic, very tricky thing to do, but very possible at the same time. Oh lordy I wish I had some better advice to give you at this time. Oh rate the fear, give it a number from one to ten and keep rating your panic until it goes down, can help to take your mind off panicking. Just keep repeating this until it gets boring! Hang in there.
