Hey Dona I also experienced alot of anxiety and I also had a full blown attack right in my class after not having one for two weeks!! I'm going to my fourth class and it does get easier! I just keep telling myself that this is going to help me get through this terrible thing and I try my hardest to ignore the symptoms. Don't give up because I feel if I can do this then anyone can! Keep me posted

Hey Its my 1st time here. I have tried cognitive behavioural therapy and its not working. I start then have a panic attack or get some anxiety symptoms and just give up... How do you do it? I feel I am not strong enough

Hi there I'm in cognitive behavioural therapy and it's working wonders!! I go to the hospital once a week for two hours with a group of others who have anxiety/panic. The class is led by a nurse and I tell you I'd be totally lost if I hadn't taken the program!! DEFINATELY give it a try!! Good luck!

Hi, I'm new to this group but I wanted to respond to your post. I went through the CHAANGE program about 10 years ago. It is a wonderful program and it just about "cured" me for many years. Unfortunately my anxiety has returned and I am looking at some new options. If I would have continued practicing the CHAANGE techniques (known today as CBT therapy) I probably wouldn't be anxious now. The program works best if you can work with a good CBT therapist who can guide you through, however, you can do it on your own as well. Good luck!

Hello Paniced, I'm afraid I've never heard of this program but if you do a "google-search" on the internet, there's a website for it. Hope this helps. Wendy xxxx

Hello Paniced, Welcome! You have come to the right place. Be sure to make use of the 'tools' on the left of your screen and keep posting on the support group. There are many people here living with and beating panic disorders. Susanne

I'm new to this site and have just registered, but have been reading some of the discussions. Have any of you heard, read, etc. anything about the CHAANGE program? My daughters talked with the national director, who is a PhD who had experienced anxiety and panic for 37 years prior to beginning the program 19 years ago, and believes that this would be something worth trying. If anyone knows anything about it, I really would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks
