Hi kayla There will always be "crap" in your life. I gave in and used that excuse after a great 20 day quit. I had back surgery,my grandson had problems,no support from hubby,~~~~~~~~ Anyway long story short I caved. I felt so bad. Then I had to go through hell week all over again. Stay strong. Its not easy. But it has to be something you really want. I think most of have us have gone through it..I'm still looking for someone to punch ;p Good luck!!! You can do it!!! Thanks Peguin well it's almost 10am and I haven't smoked. I don't even have any cigarettes and I really don't want to . I know if I do I'll end up beating myself up over it and regret it. That's why I had to post something for help. I'm going to take a long walk and maybe leave town for the day alone and do something for me for a change. I threw on a patch and hopefully I'll feel better soon. Part of what triggered this mood too is that my boyfriend is smoking not within my eyeshot but he forgets I can smell again and I can tell when he smokes. 26 years at a pack and 1/2 a day is way too long and I've gone too far to turn back. I never went this long without a smoke and sometimes it's hard. Thanks again!! Kayla Congratulations on 8 days. Hell week is over. Week 2 is heck week. I believe you said it yourself "looking for excuses". Life is going to throw us curve balls from time to time. The nicodemon will jump on any lapse of commitment and he will keep digging till he gets what he wants.....THE FIX. Stop him in his tracks. YOU WILL NOT SMOKE. NOPE. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. This is what you have to do to stay quit. and BELIEVE IT! You are doing great!!!! I am proud of you!!! Keep going. Freedom awaits. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I had a rough night arguing with my boyfriend, daughter and over the phone with Mom about my father. I went for a long walk last night and I'm pissed off beyond belief. Nothing to hit, nothing to smoke, just a few beers. I woke up feeling depressed and moody I haven't smoked but I want to. Day 8 and I'm ready to give up until I get rid of all the crap in my life which right now is my family and their non support. I need some encouragement. Has anyone else gone through this after a week or am I just looking for excuses?
