Morita Therapy/Relaxation/Adrenaline

I have read about Morita Therapy as a way of combating stress...it is an old therapy with some adherents who still believe that total relaxation to the point of absolute boredom brings relief to the nervous system...and then after a period of total relaxation, starting to work on small projects, and take on more of life's responsibilities makes you appreciate your life more, and cope with anxieties and panic. Now I have heard from Modock, that when high Adrenaline charges are missing from his life, such as high action sports excitement, then that is a possibility of the panic coming on. What has worked for everyone else? Is it a balance of some sort, that we have enough relaxation, and enough excitement in our lives?
