Thank you my friends for all your lovely words. I don't feel like I deserve them, but thank you because I did work hard to prepare for my quit. Today I spoke with several friends who voiced their approval of how I've managed my quit so far. Really, it is through the power of positive thinking and dumb luck that I found my way here to the good people at SSC. Now it is my turn to thank those who've come before me and even after me for helping me quit. MomMom the members of SSC, these are the true hereos, for they have written their wisdom and their raw experiences in posts for me...and for you and all of us...to search through and find what we need to start and then keep successful quits. Genevieve, I do feel comfortable in my quit most days, but I will strive to never feel safe...to do so would be to invite the addiction back full fledged into my life...so if you see me feeling safe, please give me a pinch and wake me up. Lady, if my quit seems like a walk in the park, it's only because you and people like you have cleared the trees out of the way and then showed me the path. The other good people have left pebbles for me so I don't wander off. Luv to all, Pat :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,915 Amount Saved: $1008 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 12 Mins: 13 Seconds: 18

I am so very proud of you Pat. You have been an awesome example of what it takes to quit. A walk in the park for you due to how much you prepared and learned prior to quitting. Congratulations!!!!! VERY GOOD POST Obviously a poetic and creative woman. Like reading your things because you put into words vague thoughts I might have had. 10 weeks! That must feel so good. Surely you must feel 'safe' now? I'll try on some of those quotes and ask some of those questions to keep my quit firm. Thanks.
