Welcome Newageseer!
I can totally relate to the dream thing... when I first quit, I would turn down cigarettes in my dreams! I thought "Hey! This MUST be it for me... I won't even smoke in my dreams!!!" But then, I did start smoking in my dreams and it really disturbed me... especially because I too would have increased cravings the day after a smoking dream. And, it bothered me that I was so flippant about smoking in my dreams... it was like I didn't even care! But then, I quit having them... they just all of a sudden quit... until 2 days ago! Now, I'm having smoking dreams again, but I'm totally disgusted with smoking and end up putting out the cigarette, while hacking and coughing. It's like I've come a full circle with the dreams.
So yes, I can relate to your dream thing. The thing for me was as soon as I accepted the dreams as not real, then I suddenly quit having them. It was hard, but I had to come to terms with the fact that even if I smoked in my dreams, there was no way in HELL that I was smoking in real life... and then the dreams went away (until, as I said, the other night when I had one after I'd told a co-worker that I wanted to smoke, and I think that caused the smoking dream that night).
So I guess my advice to you is to try to not stress over the dreams. Accept them as your sub-concious working out whatever it has to work out, but that you're not going to smoke in real life, so it really doesn't matter how many smoking dreams you have. Once you do this, you might find that the smoking dreams go away.
Welcome again to the site! Good to have you!
Crave the Quit!
