Hi Dupe, Your doctor is right. You're doing a great job and it is difficult to quit. I completely understand that his statement meant so much to you. After all, who better than your doctor knows just how this addiction damages a body. I'm sure he knows how hard it is to break the addiction. Then of course, there's that guy thing with the hand shaking and all. ;) You ARE doing a great job. I'm so very happy for you. I hope your migraines are under control. Keep us posted. Way to go Dupe,it is great that someone can congrats you on a quit.Sometimes thats all it takes to keep you going.People sure do want you to stop smoking and tell you how bad it is,but when you do stop you dont hear anything from them, like words of encouragement.Thats why this site is so good to be on,people on here are aware what a sustained quit invovles. SSC members are TOPS !!!! Yesterday I had a routine office visit with my doctor to adjust my migraine meds and he asked how the smoking cessation was going. I told him "43 days today!", his eyes lit up and he shook my hand telling me "what a great job, I know how difficult that is". I was surprised how much that meant to me. By the way, I gave him the address of this website and told him all about it- he said he would give it out to any patients expressing interest in smoking cessation. Thanks SSC and its members, I think I'm going to do it for good this time!
