Jean49, Don't be too hard on yourself! You're right, you are human and as such are entitled to make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. Luckily, us moderators have an edit feature and I've gone into your threads to fix the little errors. Pat yourself on the back, very thoughtful of you to reach out to your fellow members! Also remember that nicotine is a stimulant and now that you are nicotine free, it may take some time to for your body and mind to adjust so be kind to yourself until it passes. Sistermt, welcome to the April Ashkickers! We are delighted to have you with us. The first day is hard, but you can make it! And after you finish today successfully, day two will be even easier. It has helped me to drink gallons of ice water, practice deep breathing exercises, take long walks, and treat myself to a piece of hard candy when hit by a particularly strong crave. People at this site are very helpful, so you will want to read lots of the discussions. There is a great deal of helpful information here. You will also find that many quitters are also using Chantix. It is hard to quit with a smoking spouse, but you CAN do it, and you will be all the stronger for facing that additional challenge. You made an excellent decision to quit, and we are all here to help you see it through. Hi Jean, I am very new to this website, and I may have already posted this but, I want to be a member of the April 07 Ashquitters. Today is my quit day on the Chantix program. I am on day 9 of the meds and I've smoked all the first 8 days. Today is very difficult for me but I really want to do this. I want to quit for good this time. I do have a smoking husband that makes it a bit harder to quit.

Hi, I am hoping to be one of the April 07 Ashquiters. I've tried before to quit, only lasted a few months. I am using Chantix this time and I am on day 9 and hoping that today will be my quit day. It is so difficult. I can't stop thinking about smoking. Trying to keep busy. This site is a great inspiration. I hope to be spending a lot of time here encouraging and being encouraged to quit.

Jean... I can understand feeling out of sorts. Glad it is getting better. Yes, I posted for them in the stats forums. Thought I could help ya out there. Enjoy your walk... I am gonna get some breakfast and take my Chantix. I got to sleep in today and I am being lazy also. LOL! My boyfriend will be home today! YAYYYY!!!! I talked to him last night and he said he hasn't smoked all weekend! That's awesome!!! Now, if he can make the long ride back with his brother he has it made! He is awesome! [color=Red]Thank you Lou... I'm not feeling unwell.. just out of sorts ! But that feeling seems to be getting better however - I'm not even going to attempt to do anything which takes anymore than an ounce of thought ! LOL ! I'll be ok.. *sigh* Just have to relax, breathe and breathe some more :) I saw that you congratulated the members here on the stats page. Thanks for doing that - it kind of makes up for all my screw ups. Ok.. time for another walk and then settle in for the day. Have a great Sunday all and see you tomorrow ! Jean, hope you get to feeling better really soon. I have a day or so last week where I felt like I was unattached so to speak. I was in the daze and if it could be messed up I did. Go relax and rest and I'm sure you will be back on your game really soon! Looking at the calendar, yes Angela and janpo have 1 week today. jeanigirl, you made day 1!!! That is great. I know that once I made the first day I saw that I could do it. I still take it one day at a time and somedays I end up taking 1 hour at a time. You are doing great!!! If ya need us you know where we are! Angela and janpo, how are you doing? You are now 1 week smoke free! That is awesome!
