Tapering off Klonapin

21 years ago 0 1521 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Barbara, This is a great question! Our advice to you at this time is to contact either your pharmacist or you doctor. It is really important to take your medication as directed. Once you start to alter your medication problems could occur and you are actually putting yourself at risk. Thanks again for bringing this question forward. Keep us posted and let us know how everything works out. Take care, Melanie ___________________________ Panic Center Support Team

Hi I am not exactly sure where to post this- can anyone tell me the correct way to taper Klonapin? I have only been taking it for six weeks, after breaking my leg in 2 places, supposedlyto help with the terrible muscle spasms I was having from another neuro disorder (cerebellar degeneration) I am taking .5 mg. tid, tried stopping it completely when I found out my liver enzymes were high, but suffered terrible withdrawal and went back on it-don't really know if it was the klonapin or not. Anyway, the klonapin does seem to help, but I also felt fine before without it, so I would rather not take any drug I don't have to-especially one that can be addictive. I also take 100 mg of Trazadone at night for sleep and anxiety. TIA for any info. Barbara
