Bear, You have come a long way!! Just think when you started you were not sure if you wanted to quit. You have received so much support here, and you have given of yourself. I like your honesty about every thing. Bear, we all fall the important thing is we get back up and dust ourselves off and climb back on that quit wagon again. So congratulations on staying away from Jack Daniels. You're going to whip both of these addictions together. I bet your land lady thinks you're a pain. I don't know though anyone that brings pie to you must enjoy your company. Hey, look at Kayla she is going to have 1 month in 2 days. And you and Kita have the same quit day. I hope you had the time to read the post that ladybugg was talking about, it was written by August. Lots of good information. If you haven't please read it. Its the message that has the link in it. Talking about staying on the computer, when I first joined SSC I think I live on it. I read so much, and the first thing I knew I had been online for hours. I was trying to soak up all I could. Have a great day tomorrow... YEA, ITS SATURDAY!!! Hi Kayla Things are going well.Your right our quit is very close together, thats good we can look after one another.Yes the ladies are keeping a eye on the old Bear. I did,nt mention it before but I,ve also been sober for as long as my quit except for one day when I fell down. I hope people don,t think I,m taking not smoking lightly because I,ve come too far to quit now but I just have to tell you. My landlady wanted to know why I was spending so much time on the computer these days??So I told her it was a chat site where I got to chat up younger women. She called me a dirty old man??? :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 430 Amount Saved: $230 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 15 Mins: 28 Seconds: 19

How's my trucker sweetie doing??? I realized we're only a few days apart on our quit and congratulations on 23 days!!! That is quite an accomplishment considering all the hurdles we've gone through and you really should be so proud of yourself!! I'm so glad you didn't give up. I have some great laughs reading your post and the replies. You've brightened up the days for many of us and you've met or should I say found some great friends on this forum. I look forward to reading what's going on with your land lady:) Changing, Lainey, ladybugg and Sunshine have been such a great support for me and I enjoy their sense of humor. I especially like how they keep you out of trouble most of the time:) Your all a great an inspiration and always a pleasure to hear from!! Thanks!! Chat with all of you later. Hi Bear, Thanks for your words of wisdom well said. I think we all need to give ourselves permission to take the time we need to heal. I know there are days I am just so tired and worn out from the cravings I need to give myself permission to just pamper and take care of me. :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 473 Amount Saved: $149.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 7 Mins: 0 Seconds: 22

Hey sunshine! Check out Kiwi's post in the 'Common Support Questions' forum. Don't you have experience he might benefit from? Sorry to hijack your thread Bear....but I knew Sunshine has been mentoring you! ;) Speaking of...you last post reminds me of my favorite one by August. I'll see if I can bump it for you. We,ll put this under the heading called Recovery. Do,es anybody remember their 1,rst Hangover ( a yes I rember it well). Or how about a bad case of the flu. Or maybe a minor operation. Or how about a heart attach. Excluding the first these are all illnesses that we needed to take time to recover from. My point is addiction is an illness that we have to give ourselves time to recover from so if your suffering from withdrawel symptoms take heart your on your way to recovery !! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 425 Amount Saved: $230 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 14 Mins: 1 Seconds: 16
