That's a really good idea Lolo! Especially for the beginning when cravings come up more. If it's a really big craving maybe you should put a quarter in! Lolo, Good idea! You could also try putting a small dish of candies and other coping strategies next to it to use instead. Thanks for sharing! Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

LoLo, I think that's a great idea!!!! It will keep your hands busy and you can add all of those pennies to the money you're saving by not buying cigarettes. Now that your brain knows you have to give up a penny to the jar, you may not crave as much. Sort of like a brain teaser. This is a very original approach to craving and I'm so glad you shared it with us. Great job!!! In 72 hours, or three days, the nicotine will be gone from your body. You're getting sooo close!!!! You're doing a wonderful job. Stay close to us, okay? Keep us posted. Alright here it is...I am still really craving on a regular basis..So I have come up with the idea of putting a penny in a jar for each smoke I don't have when I get a craving..(I haven't had one yet!)...I know this sounds strange...but it just shows ME how much I let smokes control my life...now I can see for myself how much I am IN control! I figure that I can equal one penny to one smoke then If i want to get myself something I can Or I can just keep adding up the pennies and then count them---when I get a craving..I know it would keep my fingers busy..... :) :gasp: My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 51 Amount Saved: $9 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 55 Seconds: 31
