This is for the smokers who maybe viewing this post for the 1,rst time.As you can see by my 1,st post I had some doubts about quitting at my age (68).I still have them from time to time. But yes food tastes better, the air smells sweeter,I don,t wake up in the morning feeling like a bag of s---.I have extra money in my pocket, I breath a lot easier what more could I ask for ??? I think I,ll hang in here.If you decide to quit smocking you WILL experience a lot of discomfort.Be kind and patience with yourself you are trying to over come a MAJOR ADDICITION equal to heroin and cocaine !!! Visit this site often you will get tons of support from kind, street smart people who have gone thru it all and made it. What more could you ask ???? Bear - 1 week down. Way to go. I had a long road trip today and thought about you - it was 3.5 hours each way today for me and i would normally smoke 4 to 5 smokes each way on this kind of trip. Today instead cracked open the sunroof, its was 75 degrees(I live in the south) sipped on my iced tea and had an excellent trip. Life is fuller with the drug My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 84 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,698 Amount Saved: $306.6 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 9 Mins: 9 Seconds: 18
