Slivers, "add to Buddy List" is connected to the Instant Messenger feature...which is a way to "chat" with other members about any topics, not just smoking. It isn't monitored as far as I know. Others can give you instructions on how to use it.
All of us who come here for support receive it from the same places: the workbook, this forum, and for specific help by emailing "feedback". Lots of us become "friends" after posting a lot here, but believe me, this is a serious quit-smoking support site. Many other forums allow you to talk about way more than smoking. This one works so well because it is somewhat restrictive. It works best if you ask specific questions about specific areas in which you need help.
Here's something Mr. Ed said in your other thread. I think it sums it up best:

You'll find many people here who want to give you help, new and old quitters alike. This site is all about asking others for help, receiving it, and helping others when you feel in a position to do this.

Good luck, slivers!
