The linden method is superb. This guy makes no money out of if considering he gives free counselling by email. Especially compared with pharmaceutical companies. I'm afraid i have to disagree that there's no quick solution. It cleared my panic and GAD in under a month and i feel better than i have done in years. I guarantee this mehtod helps anyone with anxiety, panic or depression.

I have a BIG problem with people who are making MILLIONS off of sufferers of Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia. BIG TIME! I don't have a problem for charging for a service but ... some of these guys go completely OVERBOARD! Especially because, many times PA suffers can't work therefore lack the financial resources to be able to afford a lot of these things! ARGH. Anyhow, I ACCIDENTALLY stumbled onto a FREE version of this LINDEN Method and had a look. I'm glad I didn't pay for it. There are a couple of basic things suffers must understand I think..and of course, this is only my opinion.... 1. We need to LEARN and PRACTICE over and over again, cognitive therapy practices to get it in our heads that we aren't going to die or go crazy. We have to learn (and believe) that the symptoms we experience are NOT dangerous 2. We need to accept that for the rest of our lives, we will be prone to anxiety times...that's life, we will not suddenly be anxiety-free! No one is. But, we can learn to not be afraid, therefore reduce our symptoms to such a managable level that we hardly notice our reactions. 3. We need to continually take care of ourselves in ways that promote relaxation and health - ie limiting stimulants, getting exercise, enough sleep etc. I don't believe for a minute that there are any shortcuts, quickfixes etc. I have suffered with ANXIETY ATTACKS for 25 years and there is no way, in 3 days by paying some dude a wack of money, that they are going to have "THE ANSWER" for me that no physician knows about! Sorry for the long post...I just get frustrated sometimes! ;) I'm ok now. Have a peaceful day everyone! Danielle

dCheryl- I've been browsing this sight since Oct. when I has my first panic attack. My psych started me on 5 mg. clonazapam 2 times a day. I refused to let these attacks take over my life so I started looking at every option. This was one of them. It helped to read about others with the same problem, but it still bothered me taking the meds. I found a place by me called the Advanced Mind and Body Institute and started going. I started with the hypnotherapy there and the director had told me that within 6-9 sessions I will be better. 9 Sessions later and I'm off meds and back together again. I found out so much about myself and also different breathing tools to use! I told the therapist about this site and how bad I felt about everyone on meds that just aren't getting better, but I'll tell you, with the right hypnotherapist working with you, you too can get on the right track. I went off the meds slowly and I feel great today! :) hope that helps answer your question!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There is no quick fix to this problem or we all would have heard about it by now. ....although I do wonder about hypnosis. I've know people who have quit smoking after being hypnotized. Wonder if it would work for panic disorder. Anybody?

I always have a hard time believing this type of site. I was reading it and apparently someone stopped having attacks in 3 days? Can that even be done and if it can, why are 'doctor's not aware or doing it?
