Steve,as you probably know, anxiety affects our whole body and tenses our muscles up, which was what happened to your body.A terribly frustrating feeling I know, but it helps me to remember that none of the symptoms are going to hurt you & its just an exaggeration of stress. Dr. Claire Weekes explains all of this in a very compassionate and clear manner in her books Hope and Help for your nerves, and Peace from nervous suffering.I think you will find some very helpful things in her books.

Steve, this disorder does end. It has for me and it can for you to. Never give up hope. You've got to replace the fear with faith. Living day by day with faith is the only way. You can't do this alone, God is waiting for you to come to him and let him help you, all you have to do is ask him. You are going to be just fine, if you have suffered with this for 6 years then you obviously have a very strong spirit to have made it this far. don't give up now, you have alot of people here who will help you. Keep posting your feelings and questions and soon you'll see that life can be wonderful.

Steve, I am so sorry for your pain!! It IS frustrating and it seems like feeling normal should be something taken for granted. Yet, for some of us, it is elusive. Maybe that's why we fight so hard for it. It's good that you can come here and post to get your frustrations out. Do you take meds to help you? Do you want to? What,if anything, helps you to relax? You're not cursed Steve,....just different. Like many of us! It's hard to be different when all we want is to be the same as everyone is. Hugs to you!! I've read the success stories here and believe that it's possible for everyone, including you! Hang in there...

OK 3RD TIME TRYING TO POST THIS WITHOUT IT FREEZING! I went to my regular doctor today & he was trying to give me some encouragement because he knew I was hospitalized but the whole time we had the conversation my entire body tensed up, then when I walk to the window to wait for the script I feel horrible & can't wait to get the hell out of the office, then the feeling stays with me the whole time home! I have the most horrible time standing up (especially in lines) but basically anytime without feeling all tense, dizzy, faint, having to move around, having to hold on to things sometimes, I can barely even sit still either!! It's been going on 6 years I have been this way & it just never stops. I hate this disorder & all the nice symptoms that go along with it but my life in general & having this is really getting to me. Why has it got to be such a **** task just to do a NORMAL EVERYDAY THING LIKE STANDING UP?!! On top of all this I've been having pain in my legs & feet from having a fractured foot & working on it, now for the longest I've been walking like one leg is longer then the other... I MUST BE CURSED!!!!!!!!!!!
