Hi Pin4apple!!!
Congrats, I am on my 10th day too!!!!!!! I am also finding it much easier but not confident enough to go without my patch all morning. Though this morning instead of putting it on at 6:45am I only put it on at 8:00am. Good luck to you and everyone else!!!!
Cheers
...but you every every reason to post your accomplishment! Those fist days are the hardest my friend. You are on the road to a smoke free you. Congratulations!
Audrey :)

Hi everyone i love this site, been on the newbies site all the time so thought i,d explore the rest as ive now quit for 10 days, yes the beginning was tough but man is it getting better.
I went through all morning without a patch but just popped one on this afternoon before i got in the car, just in case it weakened me while im stuck in traffic getting in a strop.
I cant say ive eaten any more than i usually do either, i do believe now im at this point it is 75% in the mind as the cravings really have weakened now, thank god, i feel ive got over the toughest bit.
I know everyones different and handles things differently but you really can get through this
Even just coming on this site daily helps alot, theres some fab people here and no one has a bad word to say and i love it
WELL...ONE LESS SMOKER IN ESSEX !!!!!! ;p

I'm about at the same place you are, Pin4apple.... and I do identify!
I thought it was funny when you said that you hadn't put a patch on all morning, but that you would have one on now, just in case. Funny because that's exactly what I've done today. I didn't bother putting a patch on because I feel just fine without it, but I will put one on shortly... "just in case" :)
I'm still having cravings, but they haven't been as strong the last few days... or as frequent. I can also go several hours at a time without even thinking about a cigarette. The cravings intrude on my enjoyment of life once in a while, but it doesn't last long. It's like that part of my brain has actually started to grasp and accept the reality... I ain't goin' back! I think my addicted self sees the writing on the wall, and knows there's a new life in store for me... and that the addict has no say in that.
Maybe I can now take a big breath and anticipate a better week ahead.
