Question

YES, I have this. It seems as if I can feel each and every heart beat and it seems forceful. But, like you said, it's only when you think about it. My reasoning for this is that anxious people are more in tune with their bodies and we notice things that others do not, especially when it comes to the heart. When we are anxious, our bodies produce more adrenaline which makes us more aware of our heart beating. I was told by my Dr. that even anxious thoughts can produce anxiety therefore, making your heart spead up. If you've been checked by a Dr. and your diagnosis is just anxiety, try not to worry about it. Try not to feel your pulse points either. This tends to make you think about it more and cause more anxiety. Hang in there - it will get better and you'll forget about it in no time!!!! ;p

Oh yeah! I have the racing heartbeat, hot flashes, etc. It's not uncommon in panic/anxiety. I do agree with susanne - be sure to tell your doc all your symptoms to help with the meds and all! :)

Dear Blondie89, I have heard of 'bounding pulse' being a symptom of panic/anxiety. Be sure that you tell your doctor exactly what symptoms you experience, that way you can deal with them together. Susanne
