Hi Paula great news 1 week free, its only my 2nd day but its nice to feel free not that old Nick isn't having a go. I have been reading this group for 2 days and a lot of what I have read so far has been very helpful I have a bag of dried fruit so if I am feeling the strain I pop one in my mouth mmmmmmm tasty. Welcome Paula, I am a March 12 quitter myself. You have made it through the tough week. Not that there aren't more challenges ahead but I know we can both stick with this. Like Phil said just keep looking forward. Hey Paula, Way to go on a week of not smoking!!! I found that coming to this site really helped me a lot. I would post and wait for a reply. Many times someone on the In Mess would get me through the rough times. Play games, read, post here... do whatever it takes to get you through those moments. Take care, Ron My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 372 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,033 Amount Saved: $2511 Life Gained: Days: 58 Hrs: 8 Mins: 34 Seconds: 4

Paula, Welcome to our support community and please take a look around. The site and program are very helpful within your journey and can provide you with tips and tools of assistance. Do you have coping mechanisms ready? Do you have activities and hobbies planned. Take some time to make a plan of rewards, goals, avoidance techniques and coping mechanisms. Preparation is key to a successful quit :) Congrats on one week! Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
