Thanks 4 your input. I get pelps from smoking. So this is my main reason why i have to quit. Funny thing, I am in the medical field! I should know better!Seen many people die from smoking! I get pissed off at the tabaco companys who load there cigs with chemicles that keep you hooked! My mother God rest her sole, died from these dam things! I cant let it happen to me, got 3 great kids and loving wife that I charish! Cant let them nor me down any longer! Quiting is the hardest thing I have done in my life to date! Been through hell and back, but not this bad. Once I quit, I will never start again!

You have great reasons to quit...your health, your kid's, your wonderful wife...take it one day at a time, and just breathe deep. The cravings will come, but they won't last long, and you can make it through. Just read through this site, so many people have endured exactly what you are going through. Read their thoughts and advice. It will help you tremendously. Stay strong and post often. Are you getting the palpitations from smoking or quitting? I can get strange heart palpitations and beat skipping at times. For me, it seems more related to caffeine than nicotiene. Have you upped your caffeine (assuming you drink coffee) today? That may be a withdrawl symptom of quitting, too. I'm not sure. I always used to get a little dizzy when I had my first smoke of the day but no heart palpitations. I also had afew spells of major anxiety at the beginning of my quit. I'm not sure if this is what you mean or not? Jaset, Quitting is most likely one of the better things you can do for yourself. Within the first day of your quit, your blood pressure and pulse return to normal, and your bloods oxygen and carbon monoxide levels also return to normal. This means you have reduced your risk of having a heart attack in just one day. As Josie suggested, it would be a good idea to consult your MD should the problem persist or worsen. Jaset, Welcome to the community! We are just that, a community of supporters and quitters that can help you every step of the way. Take the time to prepare yourself and see the difference it can make. Many members have used the free program to help guide them through and the amazing assistance comes from the members :) Always check with your doctor if you are having issues regarding your heart. It has been known to be a symptom of quitting, but doctors can help rule out anything medical :) Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
