thinkrightnow.com This is the website I got it from. You can buy it online and download it immediately or you can order the CD. I opted to order the CD so I could take it with me if I want to. It has 4 sections to it. Sections 1 & 3 just get you to relax and breath. Sections 2 & 4 give positive statements that are repeated over and over. I was getting ready for work this morning and played section 4 cause I was feeling a little anxious and it helped calm me before I left. If money is a problem I will be more than happy to see if my son can burn a copy of it and I'll send it to you. My email is dcheryl83@yahoo.com

Virginia. I had a set back 12 days ago. First major attack in years. I have always had small amounts of anxiety when I was entering the unknown, but no real attack in over 3 years. Well 12 days later it got me good. I was literally freaking out and my son had to come get me. It took me several days to come down from it. I woke up anxious, I was nervous all day and that feeling of dread stayed with me constantly. Its like living in hell. I joined this support group, started the program thats in here and also got a Cognitive Behavior Therapy tape and you know what? Every day gets better. Didn't think it could happen because when that feeling is with you day in and day out, you feel like there is no hope. I promise you there it. It will get better. You have to take each day at a time and you MUST change your thinking pattern, learn the breathing techniques and get some exercise. Its the only way you are going to get better.

Hello Virginia, I also have this feeling all the time, all day long. I am trying to make sense of it also! I have been told that it is part of the symptoms of panic attacks and it WILL go away. I too am looking for a away to make it go away. Hope you are doing well NikkiJ

Hi Virginia, Have you tried deep breathing exercises, visualization or meditation? These tend to help a lot of people. Let me know if you need more information. Susanne

Hello Virginia, Symptoms of panic/anxiety can be around even if you are not experiencing an actual "attack". It is important to let your family Physician know what has been going on, there is help out there. Keep posting with support group, many people here understand what your going through and can offer valuable advice. Susanne

Hi Virginia, Yes, I too had a remission period of about 4 yrs and when you get a setback, its like WHAMO, almost having the first one again, the thoughts come with it. It does take awhile to desensitize because in my case, I did not keep up on exercising, relaxing, breathing techinques, etc. Trish

I have been diagnosed with Panic/Anxiety Disorder. I have basically suffered on and off most of my life. I had a great 3 years until this past Sept. I have some building stress, that eventually took its toll. I had a major panic attack. It was horrible, the works!!! I immediately experienced feeling of unreality and detatched feeling. It has been a long haul in recovering my nervous system to regain some calm... I still experience the feeling of unreality, not to the extent it was at teh onset of the attack, but it still there every day, is this normal for this symptom to linger? It is very disturbing, and Im almost positive it keeps my anxiety levels high. Is it normal to linger? thank you....
