STRESSED

18 years ago 0 449 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Trailbum, my Mom just got over them. I patted her with Calamine lotion for weeks. It gave her some relief. She also took Neurotin (sp) for nerve pain but I'm happy to report she's over them. It took a little time but she's good now. I've had them twice also, as well as Chicken Pox as a child. I feel for you and hope that you feel better soon. Stress is a trigger, per my doctor. Did they give you anything to take and are you taking it easy? Marie

Oh, poor Trailbum! I've had them before and so I truly sympathize. So, for all you newer quitters, when you're feeling sorry for yourself because quitting has been so tough, just tell yourself, "well, at least I don't have shingles!". See? It could always be worse. Hang in there, Trailbum. This is a tough price to pay, but still worth it, right? Keep the faith. OKAY, To clear everything up. Yes I have shingles. I was not joking about that. I went to the Doc and I did get some meds. It's not so painful as itchy. I just thought it of interest because of the not smoking. Hi Trail - Sorry to hear that you have the shingles. Glad you are still going strong with your quit. Yeppers - I do believe that quitting smoking would rate pretty high on the stress meter but look at how well you've done! Hope you are feeling better soon! I got those when I quit drinking. Stress will get everytime. They do go away. It is in the family of chicken pox. Hang in there you will be okay. Did the doctor do anything for you? Had to look up what shingles even was - man that doesn't look like fun at all. If you're serious - sorry for the annoyance/torture? that must be - hope it clears soon. If you're kidding - glad you are and glad to see you around with those shining stats. Regardless... keep fightin' the good fight - fish :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 384 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,541 Amount Saved: $1920 Life Gained: Days: 50 Hrs: 23 Mins: 46 Seconds: 59
