Tomorrow I will celebrate 500 smoke-free days. I quit cold turkey and have not had one slip. I now look at smokers at first with selfish disgust, then remind myself "I was once you". I think about how to approach them and encourage them to quit, but sadly realize that the decision must come from within. I am still indeed one puff away from a half pack a day, as I remind myself today that the demon will always reside inside of me. I will always be smoker, only now I am a smoker that quit. Congrats to all who are here and are trying to quit, are quitting and who are quit!
