Wes, Its the greatest quit smoking help out there! It is nicotene free so its not replacing cigs. What Chantix does is make the receptos in your brain think that the nicotene is there reducing the cravings and withdrawls. I was afraid that after being on the pill for 12 weeks I would crave cigs again, but I didnt, Because those hard days were behind me and I never felt a thig. Of course you still have urges because of the habit, but this is nothing compared to the Hell you go through cold turkey!! Give your doctor a call and ask him about it!! Good luck, Kelly

Hi everyone, My name is Kelly, I was last here back in I thin April and was trying to quit cold turkey, well it didnt work. So in August I went to my doctor and he prescibed me Chantix. It was the best thing that ever happened to me! Not only have i been smoke free since Aug. 17th but I did not have any withdrawls like I had in the past, and the urges were not as intense as before. He also prescribed me with am anxioty pill of 7.5 mg if I felt that feeling of dread that each and everyone of us has dealt with. The panic of quitting! Now I am trying to focus on losing some weight,I know I can lose the weight because after 15 years I QUIT smoking, so I can do anything!!

I'm also on Chantix' and this is day 15 for me. This drug seems block the need for cigs. I have been down this road at least 6 times and never got past day 18. I have very few urges to smoke and when I do I pick up my worrie stone and it passes fast. Thank goodness for this litle blue pill. joy
