Hello everyone, I have made it through 6 days....today is day 7, and I'm so excited. The first three days were the toughest, but I'm getting help from 21mg patches. My weekend went well, and my mood is better. I'm handling stress better and actually feel unusally calm (is this before the storm). I can't believe that if I hadn't quit smoking I would have smoked over 130 cigs this past week......you don't realize how much your smoking until you see it add up on the meter. I did buy myself a reward, something fun from Bed Bath and Beyond....the lavender sugar scrub.Love this stuff and love that store! The cilia are growing back, because I'm coughing up junk and all of you knows what that crap looks like....ick!!!!!!!!! Anyways, that is my update for today....One other thing I have found helpful is that I'm trying not to over eat at meals...then you don't get that completely stuffed feeling and crave a cigerette. Last night I was out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse with my kids and only ate half my sandwhich....ok I ate 3 of the homemade rolls before dinner, but still!! Everyone have a great day and thanks for all the support. High Five! You made it through the VERY worst of it. But don't be fooled and think it gets alot easier, because it is always a battle. Keep the positive thoughts flowing and REWARD yourself. Kaitilina - NICE JOB! I stopped using the patch myself. I used the 21mg for a while. The step downs were not bad and stopping the patch after the entire course was not hard either. You say this may be the calm before the storm, but perhaps there will be no storm. I didn't have one. I had tough times but nothing like some experience. I consider myself lucky. WAY TO GO!!!!! Keep it up....
