Birdie - I'm another Chantix quitter...excellent product. I highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it (but, who can't). By the end of the first week, where you are supposed to smoke, I didn't want to smoke anymore. My quit date came and I was ready, big time. Remember though, Chantix is only an aid, you do the hard part. I'm at the end of week two, my first quit week. If you have any specific questions about the product, let me know... Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi -- I'm also a Chantix quitter, approaching three months. In fact, I just yesterday finished with the pills. I'm doing great -- I do recommend Chantix. I believe it has been easier to get through cravings, BUT your mindset going into your quit is THE most important thing. Understand your addiction and get angry about it -- every time I do get a craving now (not nearly as often), I choose to see it as a reminder of the seriousness of my 35-year addiction. I've made a decision to get control over it. It's always a choice you have. I choose to not smoke. NOPE -- Not One Puff Ever. That's the ONLY way to become and remain a non-smoker. Go get 'em and keep the faith! I used Chantix. 52 years of smoke. Am now an x smoker. It is worth the money. Look at the money you won't be spending on cancer sticks. Gonnadoit reporting in....seems I've goneanddoneit, thanks to Chantix! Got questions? Post here. Also, be sure to register at the Chantix website. It does not have the personal support that you can receive here, but there is some valuable information about the drug itself and a toll-free number for questions. Good luck! Birdie, Many of our members are currently using Chantix to quit and will be along shortly to share their experiences. In the meantime, you can also use the search engine at the top right of the forums to find old threads on Chantix. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Chantix is working great for me. I am on day 15, have not had a cigg since christmas day. I dont even have a desire for one. I did not go to 2mg a day, I am staying at 1mg a day and it is working fine. Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
