Thank you all so much.
Yes it is GREAT to reach that magical 100days.
I had a wonderful time at the real beach with my family. It was great to be smoke free during my holiday. It made such a difference.
Waihi Beach is a 10 kilometer stretch of white sand on the pacific coast of New Zealand and is a special place for us. The family beach house was one of the first on the beach and so there is over 100 years of history there for us. I love the place with a passion !!
It has been a tradition to for us to get dropped off at one end of the beach and then walk back to the beach house at the other end.
It takes about two hours solid walking/hiking. This year I did a return trip walked there and back. 20 Kilometers !!! It took 4 1/2 hours and I was absolutely knackered at the end of it but I did it.
I also achieved my goals of going hiking further along the coast and feel pretty pleased with myself. It is a thrill walking places you have never been before. Physically I could never have done it while I was smoking.
I was going to write a big "my thoughts on a 100 day quit" but now I'll just let it slide, because I still dont think that I am in a position to relax and feel like I have beaten the demon yet. Maybe soon but not quite yet.
Just to finish up I want to sincerely thank the Stop Smoking Centre and all of you wonderful quitters who have made it possible.
I honestly could not have done it without you.
THANK YOU !!!
KiwiKeith
