Iweez, I feel for you, it sometimes can be difficult to find the right combination of medication to control panic and anxiety. Sometimes it takes awhile for your body to adjust to the medicine and everytime you increase the dosage you gotta go through the same ****py side effects. Usually they go away within a month, but if they get bad just let your doctor know. Also, I think medication will only help to a certain point it doesn't seem to ever take the panic away totally. I found what works for me is keeping a journal and challengeing my anxious thoughts. If you haven't already tried the panic program it really helps. Take care, things do get better.
UGHHHHH!!!!! Ok, so I've been on Lexapro for a little over a month or so now. At first it was working great. So I told my doctor and she said that since panic was still present, that I needed to increase the dosage. Ever since I did that...I can't sleep at night and I seem to be going downhill. I mean my panic is definately not back to the way it was...but since I've increased the dosage, it seems even the lower dosage helped me with panic more. I can't even begin to tell you how many medicines I have been off and on in the last 5 years. When are they just gonna start working?????
