hello there. You made me feel ashamed. I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself because I have an awful cold when I read your post. I went through breast cancer 3 years ago. Double mastectomy and reconstruction. Got the all clear after the ops. I gave up the weed for 8 months at that point on doctor's orders. Couldn't wait to get back to them. Now I am wishing that I had not smoked. Isn't it awful this addiction? I will look for your posts and wish you all the very best.Hugs :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/31/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 665 Amount Saved: 165 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 21 Mins: 27 Seconds: 53

Kim, I was very glad to come across your post this afternoon and hear you are doing well. I have sort of fallen off the SSC world for a month or so myself. Quit is still intact...smoke free after 100 days...scouts honor! My wife and I have been going though a simular situation. Patty had a bilateral mastectomy on January 29. She is recovering nicely and has not smoked either. I hope you have found some of the great bc support groups on-line. One in particular has been a lifesaver for Patty. I will attempt to contact you or Lady via IM to pass on the information. Good luck with your treatmet.
