Ouch Mr. Ed. did you really say 10 years? I gotta get back there. stickin to it, Thanks. One of the things that makes this site so successful is that the people, like you, truly care. That support really carries over in helping the quit. And I ditto stickin to it's thoughts to all you all others, including Mr. Ed. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 152 Amount Saved: $75 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 42 Seconds: 26

Hi Stickin! I'm so please someone started this thread! It means a lot to me that my efforts do not go unnoticed in this, the most difficult thing I have ever done. I also (like chicknoodle) get little or no recognition at home, so this is doubly appreciated! Somehow it means more when someone else posts your achievement for you, you can step back and say, well yeah, I DID do that! Thank you to all the wonderful folks here that helped show me the way to do this thing, Denise My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,450 Amount Saved: $360 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 15 Mins: 29 Seconds: 55

Hiya Stickin' to It, Thank you so much for noticing my efforts! Even here at home, my hard work seems to go unnoticed sometimes, so it really makes me feel great when someone like you does notice! My husband continues to smoke and I just let that go for now and concentrate on me. Anyway, before I begin to cry, thank you so much for noticing. It really means a lot to me! I went over some of the stats that Mr. Ed has published for us, thank you Mr. Ed. I was overwhelmed at the site of all the newer quitters, and get this, they still are quit. My hat goes off to you, as we well know it isnt easy, and as we well know, it does get easier. I am just really proud of all you; you make this site what it is, a wonderful place to be, and your support, phenomenal Your attitudes are very, very positive and that attitude is going to take you all the way home. Here are the names of the people that I have gleamed from Mr. Ed lists with quits of approximately ten weeks or less. Hope I did not miss any of you. If I did, please forgive me as it was an oversight on my part, and please post here so we can celebrate your achievement as well: ParrotLady, Fagashlynne, Kaitilina, Imallclear, Dunedad, Duckie067, mission_critical, Gypsycatcat, Wackydog, Freebird, Dunbar, sharonmcloughlin, Valic, Super, Joy, MrsChirico, Trailbum. Warringtontoe, peterpan, penguin, staceyjo, kat2006, Rosiesfriend , chicknoodle, cuddles, nalu and ter724. You are all amazing quitters and are to be commended and outstanding support work as well Thank you :) for staying strong and helping everyone to tough it out.

Great thread Stickin'! There is a fantastic spirit amongst the newer quitters and I'm sure there are many 'winners' amongst them. I'm not surprised that you missed some from your list. It's so hard to keep track. Many new quitters are (understandably) too occupied with their quit to worry about the list that I keep (that's why you'll rarely see a 1-week quitter on the list). It's also true that people fall by the wayside in the first couple of weeks and it's always hard to know who is still 'with us'. That's why I ask some of the older quitters (who I have never seen to post), to come foward and say hello. We all have a role to play here and your views are just as valuable and valid whether you are struggling on Day 1 or celebrating your 10-year anniversary. Thanks again STI..
