Welcome back Time - Your post helped remind me of how important it is to stay quit. I have also enjoyed finally getting healthier (working out regularly and learning how to eat better) I think that when I smoked I figured that my health wasn't worth it (plus going to the gym, grocery shopping, etc interfered with my smoking time) The last few days I've been out of routine and it's easy to lose focus. Thanks for the reminder. Welcome back to SCC and congratulations on your decision to quit and to be healthy again. I miss this site. It gave me so much willpower to stay quit. I was good for around 150 or 160 days last year, but I started again. I've been at a pack a day again since October-ish. During my quit, I was really regimented about lifting and cardio and was seeing good results, but once I started smoking it all went downhill and I don't go to the gym at all now. This sucks. Not only have I fallen pretty badly out of shape, I can't concentrate well again. I can't get to sleep and wake up like I did during my quit. Not to mention the dent in my wallet because of this habit. Well, I'm back. And I'm making wednesday my quit day. I'm gonna clean up my apartment and start all over again. I'll try to post here more ften than I did, definitely read all the amazing posts that kept me afloat during my last attempt, and meet all the new people :) "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it a thousand times." - Mark Twain. Yes, it is easy my friend...when you've got SSC on your side :) Take care! Timetodoit...2x..hehe.

Hi TTDI, I think that it really is "your time to do it". I know, it is amazing how smoking can turn your life from "active" to "sedentary"; SIT and SMOKE, SIT and SMOKE, SIT and SMOKE; sit and TALK and smoke with other smokers, sit on the telephone and smoke, sit on the computer and smoke, SIT and read and smoke, SIT and watch tv and smoke; SIT, SIT, SIT. I have not ever riden my bike and smoked? You were 5 months quit! That is wonderful. What made you make the decision to smoke again? Were you coming off on NRT? Think it through this time so you can be prepared for anything that comes your way. I will be thinking of you tomorrow..now, go lift some weights!
