I always felt that way with medications too. On effexor I needed 12 hours of sleep a night and it was so hard to get the energy to go to work, so now I am seeing a psychologist and just keep benzo€™s with me in case I have an attack, I€™m hoping this will be enough because I can€™t stand being on anything.

Hi Miss, I looked back over your posts and you felt the same way, and nervousness, fatigue when beginning the medicine, now you have up'd the dosage, and say the first dosage was tolerable, the side effects eventually go away. I think this too will dissipate. It just the "thoughts" we go thru, up'ing a med, or changing a med, that many times causes us more anxiety, than have the normal anxiety. Because we don't know what to expect and are scared of the side effects, some that we won't even have. I know your most bothersome symptom was dizziness before trying your medicine, you were able to see a neurologist, and things checked out ok. One trigger for me over the years I have noticed, is being in an overheated room,( or sleeping in one) seems to cause me to have more dizziness. Just a suggestion. Maybe also too, after this last dosage of going up to 7.5, you should wait at least a month, before any other adjustments in medication. If you are anxiety prone, going thru adjustments too quickly, from 2.5 to 5.0 then 7.5, it might be just a bit too quick for you. And you need the time for your body to adjust to the dosage your on, it wont feed your fears as much. Trish

Hi there, I know exactly how you feel. I had real problems with anti-depressants. I tried over a dozen different ones. They seemed to make me feel worse and the side effects were unbearable. I know we are all different and that some medications work for one person and not another. I dont know what your answer is, unfortunately. In the end for me, my doctor told me to leave well alone from the medication and try to fight it without (easier said than done). I wish I could help you more. Maybe you should speak to your doctor about it again. Hang on in there and keep in touch. Ann

I have been on the Lexapro a total of one month. I have stayed at 7.5mg for 6 days now and I am SO tired. My appetite is almost gone. I feel just plain ****py. I am having a hard time working. I don't know how much longer I can be on this med. I am getting anxiety again and feeling panicky. The 5mg dose was tolerable, but I felt it wasn't really helping my anxiety. I haven't talked to my doctor, cause I know what he'll say... "If it's making you that tired then stop taking it!" That's just how he is. I have been on Benzos on and off for 11 years and they just don't cut it. I don't know what my game plan will be if I go off Lex. I have tried almost every other anti-depressant out there. HELP What do I do?
