Robyn and my father, who both quit the same day as I, are still quit too.
I had a bunch of those silicon bracelets, the Lance Armstrong type, made for Robyn, Dad, and myself in black with our quit date and N.O.P.E. on them. I gave them as 3 month anniversary rewards for us all. One of my father's old friends saw his bracelet one day and said if he had a cool bracelet like that, he'd quit too! My father phoned me and asked where I got them. Well, the company's minimum order was like a dozen or something, so I still had plenty of extras. I overnighted one of the bracelets to my father's friend, Marty, who promptly threw his cigarettes away. He's a few months behind us, but still quit.
Four of us. All quit because of 7 really powerful words my father said to me, "I'll quit smoking if you quit smoking." We represented something like 100 years of cigarette smoking between us. Between the four of us, we have not smoked over 26,000 cigarettes and saved over $5500.
Yeah Dad! Yeah Robyn! Yeah Marty! Yeah Jokers! Yeah me!
