I can't stand it!

Hi, I stopped not long ago and I do get this real craving for chocolate as well, it looks like my substitue. Before, I ate pretty ok, salade and stuff, now, my diet is getting quasi out of hand. Snacking with a pack of cookies in the afternoon (chocolate ones), thinking I'm not really hungry for diner time so kind of skipping it for faster food like a banana or so and then, feeling like snacking some more later at night. I took 2 kilo since my quit but I don't know what it makes in pounds coz I come from Europe. Will try to check that out. Is chocolate a trend when stopping smoking? Oh yes, and as well, I never drunk as much coffee as these 3 last weeks. Fortunatly I drink decaff but I really hope it isn't bad for me coz I could overdose from it... I see you, rai. Hey Windy, I can relate. I've been trying to simply eat "normal" since I quit smoking, but this past week, I just want to eat all the time. Many of my usual "smoke" times have been forgotten, but after meals is the worst, or when I come home, and what do I do instead? I eat chocolate! I'm getting on my own nerves! I just bought a book that might help. I thought if I could eat foods that made me feel good :), I would lay off the chocolate. When you figure it all out, let me know. I'm starting to gain weight. ARGH! Well, the name of the book I bought was edited. I figured since we talk about Alan Carr's book in here all the time, a mention of diet books would be allowed in the Weight-Gain threads, but I guess not. If anyone wants to know what book I bought, catch me on the IM. It seems to be a pretty good book. Gee...the more things change, the more they stay the same. At the beginning of my quit, I felt tempted every time I saw someone smoking...whenever I saw a cigarette or went to a place that sold cigarettes... NOW...I am surrounded by FOOD...my neighbour left me date squares...I won a box of smarties.....They are EVERYWHERE!! My hubby is working out of province which has some disadvantages (He would have gobbled them up before I had a chance to be tempted...now I see them every day!) On a postive note...even the healthy food tastes good...and that extra 10 lbs I gained is almost gone...... Windy, Remove the temptation. Take a few date squares, a few smarties and give to rest to someone else. Congrats on the almost 10 pounds melted away. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Interesting, Please note, we permit the mention of his name, not the book, its title or any of its content. In the future, please address such concerns with us directly via the feedback section. Thanks. :) Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

HEY, I thought chocolate was it's own food group???? Now that is just down right disappointing!
