difficultiy breathing

Hi, Chris! Have you been checked out by a doctor to find out why you have pains in your lungs? Lots of times from my panic disorder, it feels like I can't breath (even though I am breathing), but I don't think I've ever had lung pain. I get pains under the rib cage and near the esophogus from the stress, could this be where your pain is? Please, make sure you check it out with your doctor. Those of us with panic seem to blame every thing in our bodies on the panic. I've done this many times and then turned out there was something physical going on. I take xanax...though a small dose, am not afraid of the addictive nature of it. In honesty, I would rather be addicted to xanax than to suffer this panic disorder and agoraphobia. (I find that a small dose of xanax helps me get through the day at work.) I am actually more afraid of the antidepressants. I tried Lexapro and it gave me horrible side effects, so I stopped after 4 days. Now, I have taken Zoloft for 2 days and am petrified as to what it will do to me. Again, please check with your doc on the lung pain. You could have some sort of an infection and not realize it. Good luck and let me know how you are doing. :)

Hi out there, There are times when I have difficultiy breathing and it last all day, also get pains in my lungs. I'm on Lexapro and larazapam trying to decrease it. I was taking 1/2 of a 1g pill than to a 1/2. I have a new prescription for Gabitril which is not adictive I am afraid to stop taking the larazapam because it stops the pain in the chest and lungs but again it is adictive. I just want the pain to stop. IS IT SUPPOSED TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER!!!! I don't know if I'm having the diffocultiy breathing and pain because I've cut back on the larazapam or if this is normal .PLEASE HELP! THANK YPU CHRIS
