Everything is going fantastic, although I may never need to buy another blanket! Oh.. Well I went to the doctor today, and told her the good news, she cried, she said this is the best thing that has happened all week, she said she's so so so proud of me.After I got done with her I went and registered for the hospital.I'm excited..I like being a non-smoker.I think it takes a little time to get over the fact of getting used to having "new things to do" like I was saying in my last post, its mainly just habitual.Like when I get in the car, I think about lighting up, then I'm like " Oh yeah, don't smoke anymore" So I grab a piece of gum or take a drink, or take in a big deep breath which I know is beneficial for the baby and I..and just smile. I feel so delicious..lol..I appreciate everything you guys have done for me..You guys keep up the good work to..and remember "Begin Within"... Oh, Marla: EXTRA gold stars for you!! That is SUCH good news and so good to hear from you. You sound upbeat and have a terrific attitude. I find myself doing just as you described, thinking for a moment about a smoke, then saying, "Oh, that's right -- I don't smoke" and just moving on! It DOES feel good, doesn't it? I'm so thrilled for you, for your baby girl, and your whole family. Has your mom arrived? She's not a smoker, is she? Keep up the great work, Marla and be very, very proud of yourself! Stay close so we can keep a maternal eye, ok? Keep the faith -- and your great quit! Karla, this is great news. Congratulations and welcome to SSC. Happy your quit is going so well. Getting in the car was a big trigger for me also. I used a straw, and toothpicks to chew on. Stay strong and if you need us please let us know. There is always someone here.. Congratulations! Be proud and enjoy the freedom. There isn't anything like being smoke free. You may have some tough days ahead but just hang in there because it is worth it.
