Jnine, It may be from Chantix or it may be part of withdrawals from smoking. Please be sure to keep your doctor aware of any symptoms you are experiencing, especially if they persist, worsen or are accompanied by other symptoms. Congrats on day 1! A journal is an excellent idea! Write out your frustrations. I wish I had started one at the beginning of my quit. I think it will give you a record of how far you have come on the tough days. This is hell week but know that it does pass. You are going through withdrawal. Take deep breaths and drink a lot of water. Take this day just five minutes at a time. Distraction is good as well. N.O.P.E. (not one puff ever) is how we all quit.
