For the craving that comes on while driving, I have a McDonalds straw that I hold like its a cig, just holding it in my hand like I have a cig takes care of the craving most of the time. If not I put it to my lips like a smoke and just let it hang there.
This Website has really helped take my mind off of things through the day while at work.
At home craving, I try to keep my hands busy!
I also started a stopped smoking blog, just for myself. This is for me to recap my day, vent, what ever I want to say. I can go back and read how bad things were on Day 3 later on.
I have talked to people about the NOPE braclets, I reall like the idea! I think I will get one of these or something else to signify the same.

Congrats Penguin, lets keep it going! I rolled over your post about being the first flying Penguin. I would be honored to join you on your first flight! Now being on Day 4 I am feeling better and better. I hope it keeps going this well!

Good idea with the straw. Over my sunvisor I put one of those wooden chopsticks cut to the length of a cig. Only problem is I am known to bite and ocassionally get a splinter in my tongue!

Jbr13,
Those are great coping strategies! Kudos on a job well done and four smoke free days!
Time for a reward!

Way to go JBR and Penguin!! You both are on day 4 and doing wonderfully!!! congrats. Oh lets see I would just go for walks if at home, while driving I would have cds I love to sing too real loud in the car (without anyone in the car of course). I chewed on straws or lolipops all the time the first couple weeks.
Hugs
Kim

Congratulations on 4 days!!!
You are doing it. Keep going.
I have a straw in the van too, for when I get frustrated. Works good.
Stay strong.
