hello all,
i havent posted for ages, i stop by every now and then to read the posts. i loged in to see my quit meter, and good God im over 200 days smoke free. i know i couldnt have done it without the help and support i got at this site, those who listened to my angry rants and self-pity moments.
its great to see how many people want to give up, and everytime i log on there are so many new people joining each day. with the money i saved from not smoking im going to New York in a couple of weeks. i couldnt have saved up to go spending 35 per week on cigarettes.
i do still miss them occassionally - thats usually a sign that something is up with me and my serenity. like today ive got PMT and a cigarette would go down a treat. i tell myself i choose not to smoke. the biggest deterent i have to not starting again is that i dont want to go back to day 1 again. i can remember that first week, craving for a cigarette, not wanting to have one, withdrawing, a rollercoaster of emotionas, especially anger. a cigarette will fix my feelings temporarily but it wont take the problem i dont want to face go away.
it great to see so many people wanting to better themselves and striving for a healthier life-style.
keep going - its worth it
Ann
