Well it finally happened, I got so fed up I filed for divorce this afternoon. It was actually painless, though I thought it would be very difficult. Now don't go thinking that I am talking about my bride Pete, I'm talking about Bill Gates and Microsoft. I have switched to Linux and love it. Firefox is so much smoother that IE. It all started when my motherboard and cpu took a c**p so I bought a new updated one and installed everything turned it on and microsoft pops up and says that I have to reactivate because I had so many changes. Well the hard drive went south and I lost everything, all my docs, pics and music files. So I figured now is the time for Linux since I had the software and away we went. I installed the free office suite from SunMicro and it is just as good as word, excel, ect and guess what, it was free, free, as is all of linux. Pete is still running windows XP so I guess we are not completely free from the microsoft police yet. Thanks to all who replied. Rusty you mentioned that thru all this I didn't smoke and now that I think about it I never thought about having a smoke, Jack Daniels yes but smoke no. I get asked that a lot these days "don't you ever think about smoking?" I enjoy telling folks that I haven't thought about it in over a year. :) I have a couple of 3D quitters that I give some advice to and direct them to the SSC and so far they seem to be getting there. For those who are interested in exporing the world of operating systems, there is MAC, Linux, Unix and believe me there is a whole new world out there. I have chosed Linux because of the support and the fact that it is open source software. Pete and I are having a ball, we travel, explore new things watch our weight but by and large we are just having a great time in our lives. Continued success to all in their quest to beat the addiction to nicotine.
