Hi SammiJoFl, It took me a while to find it. Regarding my sister, I think she will one day. I have told her about the site and let her know that I will be there for her whenever she is ready. All the wonderful people here have helped me realize it has to be her quit too. Maybe next time will be her last quit. Save me a spot at the beach. You will be there in just 8 days. Way to go. Time does fly when you are having fun. Hey JT, this was neat to read, a little blast from the past! Amazing how fast 70-some days can go past, huh? You did great, keeping your quit regardless of your sister's quit status! I hope one day she tries it again, though. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 92 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,788 Amount Saved: $276 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 13 Mins: 22 Seconds: 46

Just wanted to tell everyone thank you. I finally heard from my sister after several weeks. She is back smoking. However thanks to all of you wonderful people, I am now and will continue to be a non-smoker. You all were there for me in the beginning and helped me realize that this quit was mine and mine alone. You also told me that I am worth fighting for. Thanks everyone and stay strong in the quit. This is my first time in the discussion group. I found the sight on my first quit day. I now have a nice family dinner and then run to the computer, instead of outside to smoke. I am so proud that I have made it to day three. On my last try, I made it to day two and cried all day. I did not want to come home, I did not want to go to work, I did not want to do anything. This time, I have a whole different attitude. After 23 years of smoking, I now wake up and smile knowing it will be a smoke free day. I am not going to lie, I still think about it a lot. My sister and I started smoking together and now we are quitting together. I has helped us both to make it through the three days, it has also made our relationship stronger. We talk several times a day. Enough of that, I just wanted to post and thank all of you for being there. I really does make it easier to know that you are not alone. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and support. Trailbum I do have one questions. How steep is the hill? :)I know that I can not even see the top from where I am now. I keep telling myself day by day and moment by moment. Thanks Rusty for the inspiration. I am on my way for my first trip to the grocery store. I have planned not to check out in the line with the cigs. I do not care how long the other lines are :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 108 Amount Saved: $12.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 23 Seconds: 46

Hi Rusty thanks for putting it in a better perspective. I like the path with the bumps in the road. That is the way I like to put it when a child has a rough day. They did not have a "bad day" just a day with a few bumps in the road. I have not heard from my sister in a couple of days. I was afraid to call yesterday. I knew that if she had smoked again then I probably would. I think I will call her today. I know now that I have the strength (at this moment anyway) and the support from all of you, to make it no matter what anyone else does with their life. Thanks for being there. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 108 Amount Saved: $12.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 17 Seconds: 58
