So sorry to hear this. You can do this. Throw away the pack you have and go back over your reasons for quitting...is smoking helping you feel better or making you feel worse. Jan,, sweetie.. sh** happens and going through a tough time in your life often leads us to doing things which were the norm in the past. Now hon, as one other person said -- come here when you're feeling the cravings coming on strong ,, write it all down and then wait a bit and read all of the responses. It's just a slip dear one,, this too shall pass.. I'm/we're here for you :) ((((((((((((GREAT BIG HUG OF SUPPORT))))))))))))) Monica My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 191 Amount Saved: $81 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 1 Mins: 3 Seconds: 29

In kind of a tough spot here -- want to add my two cents, but don't want to add to the advice column; you know what's best for you. So I'm just kinda hanging out here on the fringes, ready to do or be whatever you need at this stage of your quit. Kind of looking at you the way my dog sometimes looks at me -- all love, no advice, no judging, just that Im-here-if-you-need-me kind of look. Arf Arf, Wag Wag peteg

I'm turning you around and dragging you back onto the road with the rest of us. Probably not a single one of us on the site who haven't slipped during some quit at some time. OK? The question is, are you going to walk along with us again, dust off, and learn from this or are you going to let the nicodemon make you feel guilty and broken and - in short - let him win? I hope not. Let's lock arms and keep on trudging down this road. There are blue skies up ahead. Don't look back! Jan, Well, you can't undo the deed, but you can learn from it. I hope and wish that you will not make the same mistake I made last time when I slipped and let it turn into a full relapse, and then I didn't get back here for 4 years. That's right, 4 years. So get your self back here RIGHT NOW and do what I say, not what I did, and you can do this, I know you can, but you gotta get rid of those evil nasty things NOW!!! And let us help you discover what went awry with your coping skills, why did you choose to smoke instead of post, and what can you do to shore up those coping skills FOR THIS TIME! You must plan your quit and work your plan! You just gotta. In recovery programs they say "It works if you work it so work it 'cuz you're worth it!" AND YOU ARE!! Please come back IMMEDIATELY. Hang in there Jan....You can quit hitting yourself over the head with a brick now and look at what you learned from NOT Smoking. My son slipped and had one one day and then the next day smoked about 8. The 3rd day he stopped again and is still not smoking. He realized what a waste and of time and money smoking was and was not really enjoying it anymore after not smoking for 5 weeks. You can still quit and if you stop now, you will minimize the dammage. Take care and I look forward to seeing you on these boards. Sending you some hope, love and willpower your way.... Jan I just read this quote: 'Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall'. -- Confucius Just laugh and continue...laughing! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 908 Amount Saved: $180 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 13 Mins: 52 Seconds: 40
